PTI leader Qureshi shifted back to jail from hospital

Senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi was discharged from hospital on Saturday and taken back to prison in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

A police team took Shah Mehmood Qureshi from Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) and shifted him back to Kot Lakhpat Jail.

Qureshi remained under treatment at the PIC for eight days.

The PTI leader was brought to the PIC after complaining of heartache. His lawyer confirmed that Qureshi experienced chest discomfort following the Fajr prayers, after which jail authorities transferred him to the PIC for further examination and treatment.

The jail administration had also alerted Qureshi’s family of his condition and transfer.
