As Eid approaches, rates of green spices increase in Lahore markets


As Eid-ul-Adha approaches, the prices of green spices have been arbitrarily increased in the open market of Lahore, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday. 
According to the channel report, onions, garlic, ginger and tomatoes are out of reach of all the people. 
The official price of lemons is Rs267 per kg, while shopkeepers are selling them for Rs700 per kg in the market.
The official price of Chinese garlic is Rs380 per kg while shopkeepers are selling it for up to Rs600 in the market.
The official price of Thai ginger is Rs265, while ginger is sold for up to Rs400 in the market.
The official price of onions is Rs 70, while these are sold for up to 90 in the market.
The official price of tomatoes is Rs40, while these are sold for up to Rs60 in the market.
The official price of green chilly is Rs85 while these are sold for Rs100 in the market.
Citizens demanded action from price control magistrates.
