Waseem Abbas gets honest about why he avoids staying at son Ali Abbas’s home
Veteran Pakistani actor Waseem Abbas has sparked discussion online after candidly sharing his thoughts on today’s generation, changing family values, and the growing gap between parents and children in modern times.
During a recent interview, Waseem Abbas opened up about why he prefers staying at a guest house instead of his son Ali Abbas’s home whenever he visits Karachi.
The senior actor shared that although he shares a loving bond with his son, he feels more comfortable staying separately because he does not want to disturb or invade his family’s privacy.

Speaking openly about the matter, Waseem Abbas explained that modern lifestyles and personal boundaries are very different today compared to earlier generations.
“Whenever I visit Karachi, I do not stay at Ali Abbas’s house because I personally feel like I would be invading their privacy. That is why I prefer staying at a guest house,” he shared.
The actor further reflected on how relationships between parents and children have changed over time. According to Waseem Abbas, disagreements and arguments existed in every generation, but the way children spoke to elders in the past was very different.

“Back then, even if we had complaints or arguments with our parents, we would still lower our gaze while speaking to them,” he said.
Waseem Abbas also pointed out that today’s generation communicates far more directly and confidently with parents, which he believes has reduced the traditional sense of formality and restraint once associated with parent-child relationships.

The veteran actor added that many youngsters today consider this boldness their right and often assume older generations do not understand modern issues or changing times.
