Imran Khan files appeal in SC challenging IHC decision in £190m scam

Former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan on Friday filed an appeal in the Supreme Court against the decision of the Islamabad High Court in the 190 million pounds corruption case registered against him by the National Accountability Bureau, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

An appeal was filed in the Supreme Court through advocate Latif Khosa.

It was stated in the petition that the PTI chairman was arrested in the Toshakhana case when the trial court dismissed his bail plea in absentia.

According to the appeal, the Islamabad High Court also upheld the decision of the trial court to reject the bail.

The petitioner requested the Supreme Court to declare the decision of the Islamabad High Court null and void.

NAB official reaches Adiala Jail for investigation

On the other hand, NAB Assistant Director Waqar Ahmed has reached Adiala Jail in connection with the investigation of the PTI Chairman in the 190 million pound scam.
