Pillion riding banned in Quetta on eve of PDM gathering

The pillion riding has been banned in Quetta on the eve of Pakistan Democratic Movement’s gathering for 24 hours, reported 24News HD TV channel on Saturday.

According to the Balochistan’s Interior Ministry, the ban will come into effect on midnight of Saturday and will remain effective till Sunday midnight.

Earlier, NACTA has issued a warning of the terrorism threat to the political leaders and has warned them to remain vigilant.

Meanwhile, Chief Secretary Balochistan Fazeel Asghar has shown his satisfaction over the security preparations for the PDM’s gathering.

Presiding over a high-level meeting, Asghar said all the preparations have been finalised for giving security to the PDM gatherings and security of the people and political leaders would be ensured at every cost.

He said the provincial government was taking effective steps for the safety of people’s life and their belongings.
