Fear of TLP long march ends, containers remove from roads of Isb, Rwp

Islamabad and Rawalpindi administration Sunday removed the containers from the roads of both the cities and opened the traffic for the general public after successful talks with the banned outfit Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan (TLP).

According to the 24News HD TV channel, in view of the call for protest and long march in Islamabad, the administration had closed the main highways of Rawalpindi and Islamabad including Faizabad by installing containers.

Citizens going to school, college and offices faced severe difficulties due to obstructions. Heavy contingents of law enforcement agencies and police were deployed to deal with any untoward incident in both cities.

Metro Bus Service was also suspended in the cities.

After the successful talks with the TLP in Lahore, containers have been removed from the roads but due to some reasons, the IJP Road was still closed.
