PPP leader cautions Nawaz Sharif against replaying Imran Khan’s role
Launching a scathing verbal attack on three-time premier and PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif, Pakistan Peoples Party senior leader Khursheed Shah has cautioned him not to replay the role of former premier Imran Khan, otherwise, he too will become a part of history, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Talking to the media in Sukkur on Tuesday, Mr Shah said that it is evident that Mian Nawaz Sharif has become the new ‘Ladla’ (blue-eyed of establishment). He warned the PML-N supremo “Do politics, do not use crutches. Otherwise, ‘Go Nawaz Go’ slogans will be raised”.
He said that soon it would be revealed what kind of favour the establishment had doled upon Nawaz Sharif. “Everything will be clear”.
He appealed to the PML-N supremo to become like Mian Muhammad Sharif and save the state. He advised the former three-time prime minister to do ‘best politics and avoid seeking props’.
The PPP leader said that the election date was delayed only for Nawaz Sharif. “Now Nawaz Sharif has come. He should demand the election date now.”
Mr Shah said whenever the PPP came to power, it gave its open manifesto.
‘Court taking utmost risk’
On the Supreme Court decision on the military trials case, the PPP leader said, “We know fully well what is law, what is Constitution and what are different clauses. What cases will be tried under which clause in military courts? The Supreme Court must have considered all these things. But I must say that the court is taking utmost risk.”
But he wondered if it would be possible for our civilian courts to punish those who torched or incited people to torch the state buildings. He said there are several examples that show that our courts refused to take up such cases in the past.
“Cases of big terrorists were returned by the courts in the past. It must also be looked into. But the Supreme Court’s decision is final,” Mr Shah enunciated.
