11-year old girl found dead in Islamabad

An 11-year-old girl was found 'murdered' at home in Secretariat police limits in Islamabad on Wednesday.
The victim’s father said the child was alone at home in Bari Imam area of the federal capital as they were out for day labour.
He said they found her dead as they came back. The body bore bruises and other torture marks, he said, adding that they don’t have enmity with anyone.
The victim’s father made an appeal to authorities concerned to bring the culprits to book. Police said the body was hanging as they reached the spot.
Such a little girl can’t commit suicide, the lawmen said adding the body was sent to Policlinic Hospital for postmortem.
The heinous crime surged weeks after a five-year-old girl was reported to have been burned alive after rape in Karachi, prompting protests across the country.
The protesters raised the demand for to wake up the government to adopt measures for child protection. Reports point out that the victim was hit on the head and set on fire after being raped.
