United States (US) Charge d’affaires Angela Aggeler and British High Commissioner Christian Turner Friday separately called on Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari at his residence, Zardari House in Islamabad.

According to the 24News HD TV Channel, both the diplomates stationed in Islamabad held separate meetings with Bilawal Bhutto and discussed regional issues, especially the situation in Afghanistan.

In the meetings, both the diplomates also showed their will to visit Sindh on which Bilawal Bhutto welcomed them and assured them that their visits to Sindh would be memorable.

According to a PPP spokesperson, Ms Angela Aggeler discussed some Pak-US relations during the meeting and briefed Bilawal Bhutto on her forthcoming visit to Sindh province.

While British HC also called on him and talked about the changing situation in Afghanistan and his upcoming visit to Sindh.

Pertinent to mention here that Angela Aggeler is a career member of the Senior Foreign Service, with the rank of Minister Counselor. From 2013 to 2015, she was the Counselor for Public Affairs at the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan. And, prior to her arrival in Islamabad, she served as the Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan in Washington, DC.
