September 24, 2022 01:16 PM

A message from Momina Mustehsan, a well-known musician from Pakistan, was represented at Times Square, New York, regarding the effects of climate change.

As an ambassador of EQUAL by Spotify, Momina Mustehsan was featured on the digital billboard in New York's Times Square.

She drew the world's attention to climate change on the digital screen and made people aware of how climate change is causing problems in the world today.

Expressing the devastation caused by the recent floods in Pakistan, it gave a message, ‘Today it is Pakistan. Tomorrow it could be your country’. Also, the hashtag #ClimateEmergency was used to send the message to the world.

She said that it is our responsibility to take care of all the people affected by climate emergency, one third of Pakistan is submerged in water and the reason for this is not our greenhouse emissions but the real reason is our geography due to which we are facing climate change.

Further, she mentioned that we as a global community need to come together now more than ever and come up with a solution to reduce carbon.

It is also an interesting coincidence that Momina appeared on Spotify's digital billboard in the first episode of Spotify Talks titled Women in Music.

The first episode of Spotify Talks will air on September 26 at 4 PM PT to learn about Momina Mustehsan's journey on climate change.

It should be noted that Momina Mustehsan gained fame by performing Afreen of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan along with his nephew Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.
