India set 169-run target for Bangladesh in T20 Asia Cup clash

India set a total of 169 in the fourth match of Super Four against Bangladesh in the T20 Asia Cup 2025, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Batting first, India posted 168 runs for the loss of six wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Opener Abhishek Sharma top scored with 75 run off 37 deliveries, which includes 5 towering sixes and 6 boundaries. Apart from Abhishek, Hardik Pandya scored 38, Shubman Gill (29) and Axar Patel (10). 

Bangladesh bowlers kept it tight with Rishad Hossain grabbing 2 wickets, while Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Mustafizur Rahman and Mohammad Saifuddin chipped in with wicket apiece.

Earlier, Bangladesh Captain Jaker Ali won the toss and elected to bowl first against India at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Bangladesh stand-in captain, Jaker Ali, said that Litton injured himself during practice and is missing today, but he hopes to have him back soon. He is excited and looking forward to this match, he adds. As a team, they are doing well, he admits, and they are playing to their strengths. They want to give their best in this match and want to restrict India to a good total before chasing it down.

India captain Suryakumar said that he would have batted first anyway. It became a little slower in a previous game here and they are very happy to be setting a total. Moreover, they want to build on the good things and focus on that, with the result taking care of itself.
