Chinese medical team arrives in Pakistan to help fight coronavirus

A medical team from China arrived in Islamabad on Saturday, which will stay in the country for two months to help in the fight against coronavirus pandemic.
The Chinese group comprising doctors and nurses reached the federal capital in two aircraft. They have also brought another consignment of PCR testing kits, N95 masks, protective gear and other items.
The medical team led by a major general is an expert in tackling the infectious diseases.
They were welcomed by Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Gen Nadeem Raza and National Command and Control Centre Coordinator Maj Gen Hamood-uz-Zaman at the airport.
Earlier in March, an eight-member medical team sent by the Chinese government had arrived in Pakistan to provide expertise in prevention and control of the coronavirus pandemic.
