Pakistan star Mehwish Hayat has made an appeal to Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood for cancelling the exams in a bid to save students from deadly Covid-10.
The noted actress took the social media to make the request, calling exams commencement ‘dangerous and unfair’.
“It is wrong that students are being forced to take exams. Not only is it dangerous with the 3rd wave taking hold but is unfair when education has been so disrupted! I humbly request to cancel exams this year as other countries have done,” she tweeted.
Last month, she expressed disappointment at a live music concert in Islamabad and has urged her friends and fans to act responsibly in wake of the third wave of the deadly Covid-19 strike.
“This is very disappointing to be having live concerts with so many people while we are still not free of coronavirus,” she commented tweet of concert video. "Cases are on the rise again and we are experiencing a deadly 3rd wave. Let's please act responsibly. Remember... Jaan hai to jahaan hai!”
