PM Shehbaz removes Anwarul Haq as Islamabad chief commissioner

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has removed Islamabad Chief Commissioner Captain (retd) Anwarul Haq from his post, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
According to sources, there is a possibility that Chaudhry Muhammad Ali Randhawa may replace Anwarul Haq as Islamabad chief commissioner.
MA Randhawa is a Grade-20 officer of Pakistan Administrative Service.
A letter in this regard has been sent to the Establishment Division Secretary by Interior Ministry’s Section Officer Admin Ghulam Murtaza.
It was requested in the letter that the Interior Ministry desires to acquire services of MA Randhawa, currently serving as Lahore Commissioner, as Islamabad chief commissioner or Capital Development Authority (CDA) chairman. The Punjab government was requested to relieve Randhawa to the Interior Ministry.
