Kohli becomes first to score 3,500 T20 runs at a single venue
Virat Kohli etched his name into cricketing history once again on Thursday, becoming the first player ever to score 3,500 T20 runs at a single venue.
The milestone came during a 70-run knock off 42 deliveries for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in their IPL 2025 clash against Rajasthan Royals at the iconic M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Kohli’s innings, laced with eight boundaries and two sixes, was his fifth half-century of the ongoing season. His latest effort not only reinforced his dominant form but also strengthened his legacy at Chinnaswamy, a venue where he has consistently thrilled home fans throughout his T20 career.
Following Kohli in the list of top T20 venue run-scorers is Bangladesh’s Mushfiqur Rahim, who has amassed 3,373 runs at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.
England’s James Vince and Alex Hales follow closely with 3,253 and 3,241 runs respectively at the Rose Bowl and Trent Bridge.
Tamim Iqbal, another Bangladeshi star, completes the top five with 3,238 runs at Mirpur.
