Four militants killed as attack on Bolan police station thwarted
PM Shehbaz, Mohsin Naqvi pay tributes to police, CTD for foiling attack
At least four terrorists of Fitna al-Hindustan were eliminated after their attack on a police station in Balochistan city of Bolan was beaten back by the security forces personnel, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
Nearly two dozen terrorists targeted the Dhadar Police Station late Friday night with hand grenades, triggering a swift response from security forces deployed in the area.
According to initial reports, four attackers were killed during the exchange of fire that followed the assault, and four policemen were injured two of them seriously. Security forces quickly moved to secure the area and contain the situation.
Several vehicles, which were parked outside the police station, were also destroyed during the attack.
Later, the injured policemen were rushed to CMH in Sibi for further treatment.
PM vows to crush terrorism
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif commended the personnel of police and CTD for foiling an attack in the Dhadar area of Balochistan. He said the police and CTD responded promptly and effectively, eliminating several terrorists during the operation.
He praised the bravery and professionalism of Balochistan police and CTD personnel, observing that they had set a remarkable example of courage and valour, PM Office Media Wing said in a press release issued in Islamabad.
The prime minister also paid tribute to the security official who embraced martyrdom while confronting the terrorists with courage.
Expressing condolences, he prayed for the departed soul and for grant of patience and strength to the bereaved family.
Reaffirming the government’s resolve, the prime minister said that Pakistan remained determined to completely eradicate terrorism from the country.
Mohsin Naqvi pays tributes to police, CTD
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi paid glowing tributes to the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and the police for foiling a terrorist attack on the Dhadhar police station.
In his message, Mohsin Naqvi said that the timely action of the police and the Counter-Terrorism Department forced the Fitna al-Hindustan terrorists to escape from the scene.
He said that brave jawans of Balochistan Police and Counter Terrorism Department set an example of bravery for others.
The Interior Minister said “The entire nation, including myself, takes pride in the brave police force. The war against the scourge of terrorism will continue until its elimination from the country.”
