IMF chief thanks Pakistan for ‘exceptional’ evacuation of IMF staff

International Monetary Fund Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva has lauded Pakistan’s efforts by extending heartfelt thanks after Islamabad rescued the IMF staff from Afghanistan.
In a tweet, the IMF chief said “Pakistan’s efforts at the highest levels were absolutely critical to the safe and swift evacuation of the IMF staff and their families from Afghanistan.”

The managing director thanked Prime Minister Imran Khan for Pakistan’s exceptional assistance in very difficult circumstances.
