‎Hammad Azhar quits NA-129 by election race, nominates cousin

PTI leader Hammad Azhar has announced that he will not contest the by election from NA-129 and has nominated his ‎father's nephew Arsalan Zaheer to contest the seat which was got vacant after the demise of his father Mian Azhar, reported 24NewHD Channel. ‎

According to PTI officials, Hammad Azhar has formally nominated Arsalan Ahmed for the election in his constituency while his sister will lead his election campaign. ‎Hammad Azhar said it was not be possible for him to participate in the campaign.

He added that Arsalan Zaheer, who previously served as chairman of the Lahore Fruit and Vegetable Market ‎Committee during the PTI era, is a capable young man. ‎

He said after Arsalan Ahmed’s father died of COVID-19 in 2020. Main Azhar ‎treated Arsalan like son.
