The government has decided to return the services of the PIA officers who have been hired on deputation owing to continuous losses the national flag carrier is incurring, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
According to sources, the government is worried about the PIA’s continuous financial losses and has decided to send back the officers who came on deputation to their respective departments next month.
Besides this, on the important PIA appointments, the government will also bring about changes.
Sources informed that on the executive seats of the PIA, the civil aviation department experts would be appointed.
Despite its tall claims of turnaround, the government has failed to bring down the losses of the PIA. Its CEO Arshad Malik is also retiring in April 2022 after completing his term.
