Public holiday announced in Islamabad’s federal institutions

The federal government has announced a public holiday at Pakistan Secretariat and other federal institutions in Islamabad on Friday (December 26), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The Cabinet Division issued a notification in this regard on Thursday. 

The public holiday will not apply to hospitals, banks, MCI and CDA.

The holiday will also not apply to IST Administration, ICT Police, IESCO and SNGPL.

It may be mentioned here that on the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will undertake an official visit to Pakistan on December 26 (Friday-tomorrow).

“This will be his first visit to Pakistan as the President of United Arab Emirates. He will be accompanied by a high-level delegation, including ministers and senior officials,” Foreign Office Spokesperson said.
