Two teen sisters committed suicide by swallowing poison in Lahore Cantt
Police in Lahore said on Thursday that the bodies of two girls found from a house in north Cantonment were those of two sisters who had died by suicide, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Police said that both sisters, Kiran (19) and Maryam (17), had ended their lives by consuming poisonous pills.
One of them died at home, while the other passed away at a hospital, the Force informed.
Police elaborated that the father of both sisters milked buffaloes, while they would work at people’s homes to earn their living.
The Force said that the girls might have committed suicide due to poverty.
Earlier, the police had registered a case of murder against unidentified persons in connection with the incident.
Two young sisters were reportedly found dead on Monday in their home in North Cantonment area under mysterious circumstances while the family claimed that they ended their lives themselves as they were devastated by the murder of their elder sister in Kasur allegedly by her in-laws.
Their bodies were shifted to the city morgue for postmortem.
