Teenage daughter of labourer gang-raped by two

The teenage daughter of a poor labourer was gang-raped by two influential landlords in Shadia, a village situated in the suburbs of Mianwali, on Tuesday.
The alleged rapists abducted the 15-year-old girl and sexually assaulted her the entire night and threw her in fields in the morning. Mother of the victim girl informed that her husband had gone to water crops and in his absence, the accused forcibly took the sleeping girl away by squeezing her mouth with hands. The girl was found in the fields in critical condition the next day.
Father of the girl said that first the influential accused raped his daughter and now were threatening him through phone calls to settle the issue. “The culprits are offering Rs50 to 60 thousand to settle the issue.”
District Police Officer (DPO) Asad Alvi took notice of the incident and constituted a special team to arrest the rapists.
According to Wah Bhachran Police, one of the accused identified as Arshad has been arrested and hunt for the other is continued.
Sources claimed that the other accused has also been arrested but the police did not confirm or deny the claim.
The girl was taken to THQ hospital for medical examination and a comprehensive report is expected to be released in a couple of days.
