Axe of Karo-Kari takes another life in Sindh

On a doubt of telephonic links with a girl, a Chand clan killed a youth of opponent--Majeedano tribe with axe in the name of Karo-Kari (honour killing) in Sindh on Friday.
According to the 24News HD TV, a dispute broke out between two local communities—Majeedano and Chand—over the Karo-Kari Issue in a village Soomar Chand on the outskirts of Matiari.
Both communities’ members held a meeting in the village but during the altercation, an aggressive man named Khalid Chand attacked 26-year-old Zaheer Majeedano with an axe.
Due to a sudden but heavy attack, Zaheer died on the spot. Sindh police have arrested the accused Khalid Chand and shifted the body of the deceased to the hospital for postmortem.
According to police, the accused has confessed to the murder and said that the deceased Zaheer was talking to his niece on the phone.
On the other hand, the victim's father Abdul Majeed said that his son was killed without any justification.
