As many as 326 schools in Punjab have no teacher, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

According to official sources, these schools have to hire teachers from other institutions in order to teach pupils.  

As per sources, there are more than 150,000 vacancies for teachers at different schools across the province.

Administrations of these schools have requested the education department for the immediate hiring of 25,000 teachers.

The department, on the other hand, has told them that the hiring will begin as soon as the government gives permission for that.
