IGP Punjab visits Dhajal checkpost in Bhakkar, attends funeral of martyred cops

Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Punjab Rao Abdul Karim on Wednesday visited the inter-provincial Dhajal checkpost in Bhakkar and inspected the site of the suicide blast, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

A spokesman of Punjab police said that Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sargodha and District Police Officer (DPO) Bhakkar gave a comprehensive briefing to the IGP Punjab about the suicide blast and evidence collected from the site.

On this occasion, Rao Abdul Karim directed to enhance the security measures at the checkposts.

IGP Punjab Rao Abdul Karim lauded the high morale of police personnel. He advised them to ensure the implementation of SOPs. 

Rao Abdul Karim said that Punjab Police has full capability to deal with all kinds of challenges, says IG Punjab.

Rao Abdul Karim said that all resources will be utilized for the maintenance of law and order in the province.

Additional IG CTD Waseem Ahmad Sial, RPO Sargodha, Dr. Shehzad Asif, DPO Bhakkar, Shehzad Awan, and other senior officials were also present on the occasion.

Namaz-e-Janaza offered

The funeral prayers for two policemen who embraced martyrdom in yesterday’s suicide blast at Dujal check post were offered.

A large number of people attended the Namaz-e-Janaza of martyred cops.

They prayed to almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss with courage.
