Inside Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda’s Udaipur wedding celebrations

South Indian actors Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda are all set to tie the knot in Udaipur on February 26, with their wedding muhurtam (wedding time) scheduled for 8 AM, according to sources close to the couple.

The much anticipated ceremony comes after pre-wedding festivities began earlier this week in the scenic Rajasthan city.

The celebrations, which have already drawn close friends and family from the film industry, are said to blend both Telugu and Kodava traditions,  honouring Vijay’s and Rashmika’s cultural roots.

According to sources, haldi and mehendi ceremonies will take place a day before the wedding, attended by the couple’s inner circle.

A sangeet celebration was also organised, featuring cherished photographs from their journey together.

Social media glimpses shared by the couple showcased playful elements, including custom popcorn buckets and activities themed around a “Virosh Premier League,” a nod to the affectionate nickname fans coined for them.

Several well-known names from the industry have been spotted arriving in Udaipur for the festivities. Among them are filmmaker Tharun Bhascker, director-actor Rahul Ravindran, actors Eesha Rebba and Ashika Ranganath, as well as stylist Shravya Varma.

Filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga was also seen in attendance ahead of the wedding rituals.

India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is unable to attend, reportedly sent a congratulatory note to Vijay’s parents, extending his wishes to the couple for their new journey.

Rashmika and Vijay’s love story has long captivated fans. The two first shared screen space in the 2018 hit Geetha Govindam, followed by the 2019 romantic drama Dear Comrade.

Their on-screen chemistry quickly sparked dating rumours, though they kept their relationship largely private for years.

The couple got engaged in Hyderabad in October last year in an intimate ceremony before officially announcing their wedding plans this week. Referring to their union as “The wedding of Virosh,” they paid tribute to the fan nickname that has followed them since their early collaborations.
