Lab issuing fake vaccination certificates sealed in Rawalpindi

At the request of District Health Authority, police in Rawalpindi on Wednesday sealed a private laboratory, which issued fake vaccination certificates to the people planning to travel abroad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The police also took into custody three employees besides confiscating documents, fake stamps and other material from the lab, situated at Murree Road of the city.

The employees issued fake vaccination certificates to the people despite the fact that they were not authorized to do so.

The District Health Authority said that the suspects had so far issued over 2,600 certificates.

Each certificate was issued in lieu of Rs7,000, the Authority informed.

It further said that there was an organized gang behind the issuance of these certificates, and that those arrested had violated the Punjab Hepatitis Act.
