Three killed, seven injured in land dispute shooting in Mirpur, AJK
Three people were killed and seven others injured in a shooting over a land dispute in the Afzalpur police jurisdiction of Mirpur Azad Jammu and Kashmir, 24NewsHD TV reported on Sunday.
According to details, the victims, identified as Ghalib, Khurram, and Irfan, included two brothers and a cousin.
Khurram had recently returned to Pakistan from South Africa, officials added.
Mirpur SSP Khurram Iqbal said the suspect, identified as Ishtiaq, has been arrested.
Police are investigating the incident to determine the motive and prevent further violence in the area.
The injured were transferred to Mirpur Hospital for treatment.
The police officials said tensions remain high in the area following the incident.
Officials noted that the shooting was linked to ongoing disputes over land ownership in the region.
