Science Ministry, private company build 30 drones: Fawad
Federal Minister for Science Fawad Chaudhry has said that intense work has been underway on the drone technology in Pakistan and the country will use the technology in other fields besides defence.

Talking to 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday, the federal minister said “Drone technology will be used in agriculture while motorway police will also be assigned to utilise it to improve their working.”
“More than 30 drones have been built in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and Technology and a private company,” the minister further said.

It is pertinent to note that the use of drones in farming called agricultural drones which can help in multiple purposes including the increasing yield of crops and to monitor their growth. The agricultural drone can be used to spray fertilizers or pesticides uniformly across the field.

The federal minister for science and technology visited the production unit of Abm Satuma, a drones-manufacturing company.
The Science Ministry said, “The drones will be used for agricultural purposes and for countering locust attacks. An MoU has recently been signed between the Ministry of Science and Technology and Abm Satuma.”
