Double shifts in the courts on the cards: CJP Yahya Afridi

Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Yahya Afridi has said that the apex court was working to start double shifts in the courts, adding that the judicial officers were being trained in this regard, reported 24NewsHDTV Channel. 

Addressing a ceremony in Islamabad on Friday, Chief Justice said that all the pending case will he heard in the model trial courts. He said it was need of the hour that cases should be decided in due time. 

He said that the apex court was also working to benefit from artificial intelligence in dispensation of justice. Chief Justice said he visited all parts of the country to review improvements in the judicial system. 

The CJP said strong national judicial policy is need of the hour, adding that apex court was working on setting up of model criminal trial courts in the country. 

He said best legal experts were hearing cases on a daily basis.
