Punjab govt launches second phase of intern programme for 2000 agri graduates

Punjab government has launched second phase of internship programme for young agriculture graduates. 

Under the scheme, 2000 graduates will receive Rs60000 stipend during their training programme. Students pursuing BSc agriculture and BSc (Hons.) in Agricultural Engineering are eligible for the internship program. 

The agriculture graduates can submit their applications to the office of the Deputy Director of Agriculture (Extension) in their respective districts. The quota has been fixed for students of each district. The students can get help from helpline 0800-17000 about Agriculture Graduates Internship Program. 

CM Maryam Nawaz has said that Agriculture Internship Program will not only helps farmers but also provides decent employment opportunities to the unemployed youth. She said Kisan Card Program has also set new records of success. CM Maryam said green tractors and tube well solarization programs were successfully underway for farmers. CM Maryam said model agriculture malls were being brought in to provide all facilities to farmers under one roof.
