Wanted TikToker killed in Peshawar police 'encounter'

A TikToker wanted in multiple criminal cases was killed during an exchange of fire with police in Peshawar's Kotwali police station, while a police officer was injured in the incident, 24NewsHD TV reported on Saturday.

According to sources, police officers rushed to the crime scene after receiving reports of a snatching incident.

Upon arrival, the suspects allegedly opened fire on the police with the intention of killing them, prompting officers to return fire.

During the exchange of gunfire, Rider Squad police officer Haider Ali Shah sustained injuries and was shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Police said the deceased suspect, identified as Masal alias Masalay, son of Sher Bahadur and a resident of Qazi Khelan, was accidentally shot by one of his own accomplices during the shootout.

Authorities described the slain suspect as a notorious drug dealer, habitual criminal and robber who was wanted in several criminal cases and had been involved in multiple offences.

Police have launched further investigations into the incident. and are working to arrest the remaining suspects who managed to flee the scene.
