An inquiry committee has found Professor Dr Hafiz Salahuddin of Gomal University as guilty over allegations of sexual harassment, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

When allegations and several complaints were surfaced against the professor, the Gomal University of Dera Ismail Khan had sought the resignation of Islamiyat Professor Dr Salahuddin.

He was serving on top position in Department of Arabic, Islamic Studies and Research Gomal University, DI Khan when the sexual harassment allegations were levelled. Prof Salahuddin was exposed by the crew of a private TV channel.

On Wednesday when the inquiry committee had found all the allegations of sexual harassment by the female students against the teacher, the committee accepted his resignation and now the harasser is no more affiliated with the university.

In May this year, an interim bail of educationist Prof Hafiz Salahuddin was cancelled in a Dera Ismail Khan court and he was arrested. The accused was then taken to the Cantonment Police Station.
