Federal Minister for Science and Technology and PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry on Wednesday said that he would not resign at anyone’s wish, except Prime Minister Imran Khan.

In a tweet, Fawad Ch said he would remain in the cabinet until he gets support from Prime Minister Imran Khan. Only Imran Khan can ouster him, he added.

“There is no question of resigning at the behest of anyone else. Politics is not a game of weak-hearted people,” Fawad added.

Fawad Ch came into the limelight after his interview to the Voice of America (VoA) went viral couple of days ago.

After the interview, he faced criticism from his cabinet colleagues and party members. Some of the critics demanded his resignation.

Replying to the criticism, Fawad Ch took to the twitter and said that he would not resign at anyone’s call. Only PM Khan can ouster him, he said.

In an interview to the Voice of America (VoA) on Monday, Fawad had talked about infighting in the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and how it affected the government’s performance.

He said the incumbent government had been left with just six months to deliver or go home. He said that army and other institutions of Pakistan were supporting Prime Minister Imran Khan because they had no other political option at hand at the moment.
