The Lahore police have been allowed to purchase armoured vehicles to deal with sensitive operations and emergencies.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the Punjab government has allowed 35 vehicles to be procured for Elite Force and Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD).
As per the report of the channel, procurement of three armoured vehicles were pending for the last two years.
The channel report said that the police will be given special funds for purchasing the armoured vehicles and other equipment.
