Bullish trend persists at Pakistan Stock Exchange
The bullish trend persisted at Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Wednesday as the Iran-Israel ceasefire has calmed the Middle East tensions, reported 24NewsHDTV channel.
At the end of trading, the PSX’s benchmark KSE-100 index gained 515.01 points or 0.42 percent to reach 122,761.64 points.
The rally was seen as a sign of growing investor confidence and improving market sentiment.
Experts attributed the bullish trend to increasing economic stability, positive expectations for foreign investment, and consistent government policy direction.
Investor interest across various sectors further fuelled the market’s upward momentum.
According to analysts, if the current trend holds, the PSX may witness continued growth in the coming sessions.
Earlier on Tuesday, the market witnessed a remarkable comeback, with six consecutive upper locks activated as investor confidence soared. The KSE-100 Index skyrocketed by 5,878 points, closing at 122,045 points.
Trading volume remained robust, with 14.27 million shares changing hands across various sectors.
The market’s strong performance reflects both fundamental improvements and sentiment-driven optimism, said a senior market analyst.
Currency brokers also reported a major breakthrough in resolving the power sector’s circular debt issue.
The government is expected to soon secure a low-cost loan of Rs1,275 billion from banks, which is likely to further lift investor confidence.
