Mother, two children among five killed in incident of firing in Bannu 

Five people, including a mother and her two children, were killed while two others were seriously wounded in an incident of firing following an altercation between women in Shah Bari Kala area of Bannu on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The incident took place in the jurisdiction of Lakki police station.

Those killed were a woman and her two sons, while a girl and a man were seriously wounded, and later succumbed to injuries. 

A large contingent of police reached the crime scene, while the dead as well as the injured were immediately taken to the District Headquarters Hospital.

Police have started investigating the incident.

On Wednesday, three proclaimed offenders were gunned down during a police encounter in Swabi.

The encounter took place in the Gudduabad area of Swabi.

District Police Officer (DPO) Waqas Rafiq said that after receiving credible information, a police team raided a location to apprehend the proclaimed offender.

After taking notice of the police team, the dacoits started firing. During heavy exchange of fire, all three dacoits were killed.

The DPO Swabi said that all these proclaimed offenders were involved in more than twenty serious criminal cases, including attempted murder and killing.
