Rajab Butt hits out at Ejaz Waris after being accused of ‘Showbazi’
Pakistani YouTuber and social media personality Rajab Butt has hit back at entertainment critic Ejaz Waris after the latter questioned his intentions behind a latest circulated video showing the distribution of niyaz.
The exchange quickly caught public attention, reigniting discussions on social media about performative generosity, online fame, and the growing culture of showcasing charitable acts.
Responding to Ejaz Waris in the comment section of his video, Rajab Butt wrote, “Hum kahin nai jaa rhy. Ap ki ticket krwata hon wapis. Main ny appointment li ha psychiatrist sy ap k liye. Sakht zaroorat ha ap ko.” (We're not going anywhere. I'm booking your ticket back. I've set up an appointment with a psychiatrist for you, you seriously need it).
Earlier, Ejaz Waris shared a video criticizing influencer for what he described as excessive showmanship.
“I genuinely don't understand how long we will continue indulging in such displays,” he said. “A video of Rajab Butt distributing burgers in the name of niyaz appeared before me. At the same time, promotions for a burger brand were running. Was this really niyaz or merely a publicity stunt to promote a business?”
He further expressed disappointment over what he sees as a growing obsession with flaunting wealth and status online.
“I've noticed people increasingly showing off displaying cash, taking out bundles of money, and repeatedly mentioning expensive cars. It saddens me to see what we are becoming and where we are heading as a society,” he remarked.
Rajab Butt's response soon went viral, drawing mixed reactions from social media users. While some defended the YouTuber and viewed the criticism as unnecessary, others agreed with Ejaz Waris' concerns regarding the public display of charitable activities.
