Unknown assailants attacked Dera Ismail Khan (DI Khan) police within the limits of Kalachi police station and threw grenades at their armoured vehicle injuring two police constables on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

The two police constables Iqbal and Shahid who were injured in the attack were shifted to a hospital.

The unidentified attackers opened fire and hurled grenades at the armoured vehicle present at the Androon Gate in DI Khan. 

Police have launched a search operation for the gunmen.
