Punjab govt halts action on inquiry into torture on PTI activists

The Punjab government has halted action on an inquiry into torture on PTI workers, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

A judicial commission consisting of Justice (retd) Shabbar Raza Rizvi in its report had ordered action against three police officers including DSP Nasir Mushtaq, SHO Qurban Mahmod and ASI Zulfiqar Ali.

The previous Punjab government had constituted the inquiry commission to probe torture on PTI march on May 25 last.
