Two dacoits were killed allegedly in an encounter with the police in Satto Katla area of Lahore on Monday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Two of their accomplices, however, managed to flee from the spot.

Police said that dacoits were on their way back after committing a robbery at Nawab Town and on seeing the cops, led by SHO Satto Katla Hashim Bhatti chasing them, they opened fire at them.

The cops retaliated resulting in the deaths of two robbers, the police said, adding that the slain dacoits had been identified as Basharat, son of Mushtaq, a resident of Nankana Sahib, and Ali Zeb, who was a resident of Lahore.

The Force informed that manhunt for their accomplices had been launched.
