Punjab Home Dept demands Rs3.3bn for PSL, other security expenditures

The Punjab Home Department has demanded funds of over Rs3.3 billion for PSL-XI and other security expenditures during 2026, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
According to sources, payment of Rs1.022 billion towards arrears and funds of Rs2.28 billion are sought for PSL.
However, the government approves Rs1.2 billion instead of the full demanded funds.
Not only for PSL, approved funds were allocated for all security events, including security arrangements for Muharram and Rabi-ul-Awwal and security expenses for the return of illegal Afghan residents. 
Further, claims of police, Rangers and Pak Army not yet been fully paid.

Lahore Traffic Police complete arrangements for PSL

Meanwhile, the City Traffic Police Lahore have completed arrangements for PSL.
About 950 officers and personnel of Traffic Police will be deployed on duty during PSL.
According to CTO Athar Waheed, traffic wardens will be on duty around Gaddafi Stadium and on VVIP movement routes. 
Traffic will be stopped for the minimum time during VVIP movement for PSL matches.
Traffic Police has made arrangements in consultation with Lahore Police and fans are not allowed in PSL 11.
