Rain brings pleasant weather to Lahore, more showers expected
Light to heavy rain lashed several parts of Lahore on Wednesday, bringing pleasant weather and a noticeable improvement in air quality across the city.
According to reports, rainfall was recorded in areas including Iqbal Town, Gulberg, Khayaban-e-Jamia Punjab Road, Shalimar Link Road and their surrounding localities, providing much-needed relief from recent dry conditions.
The current temperature in the city stands at 24 degrees Celsius, with winds blowing at a speed of 8 kilometers per hour and humidity levels recorded at 45 percent.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast intermittent rain over the next 24 hours, indicating that the weather is likely to remain pleasant.
Officials said the maximum temperature is expected to reach around 30 degrees Celsius, while the minimum may drop to 19 degrees Celsius during this period.
Meanwhile, the city’s overall Air Quality Index (AQI) has improved to 110, reflecting a reduction in air pollution following the rainfall.
Meteorologists say the ongoing weather system is likely to continue influencing conditions in Lahore, with periodic showers expected to maintain cooler temperatures and cleaner air in the coming hours.
