Pakistan Covid-19 cases reach 56,349 with 34 more deaths

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Pakistan jumped to 56,349 after the virus was found in another 1,748 people during the past 24 hours.
The same period saw the country recording 34 more coronavirus-related deaths, raising the overall death toll to 1,167 since the outbreak of this pandemic.
According to the figures released by National Command and Operation Centre on Monday morning, another 10,049 people were tested for the virus, meaning that the overall number of tests conducted in the country had increased to 483,656.
Currently, there are 37,700 active coronavirus cases in the country, as 17,482 patients have fully recovered from the infection.
Sindh continues to top the list when it comes to the reported cases, as 22,491 people in the province have so far contracted the coronavirus. The details of other regions are: Punjab 20,077, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa7,905, Balochistan 3,407, Islamabad 1,641, Gilgit-Baltistan 619 and Azad Kashmir 209.
On the other hand, most number of deaths has so far been recorded in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa where the figures currently stand at 398. Sindh is second with 367 followed by Punjab 337, Balochistan 40, Islamabad 16, Gilgit-Baltistan seven and Azad Kashmir two.
