Sindh police use drone-cameras to target dacoits in Shikarpur

The police operation against dacoits was underway on the third consecutive day in Garhi Tegho area located in the riverbed area of Khanpur in district Shikarpur where the policemen with the help of drone-cameras fired tear-gas shells on the dacoits, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
Sindh Police said that many dacoits have been killed and many more were injured in the wake of the drone-shelling.
Police have taken frontline positions in the whole area and said the operation will continue till the entire area is completely sealed off.
Earlier, Sindh police launched a grand offensive against dacoits who killed three cops and injured four on Sunday.
The dacoits in Shikarpur had attacked an armoured personnel carrier (APC) with modern weapons. On the other hand, the besieged policemen also released a video in which they sought help from their central command to intervene and rescue them.
The martyred policemen were identified as Jahanzeb Ujjar, Munawar Ali Jatoi and a photographer Hafeez Shaikh. The funeral prayers of the martyred policemen were offered in the Police Lines on Sunday late at 10 pm.
Policemen Imran Soomro, Saeed Mehar, Asadullah Pahore and Sajjad Chandio were also injured along with six others in the operation.
The outlaws had also captured a police picket as police operation against the dacoits had failed, the TV channel reported.
Owing to the prevailing situation the DIG Nasir Aftab reached Shikarpur where the outlaws have also released a video on social media in which dacoits can be seen capturing the armoured personnel carrier of police.
Shikarpur SSP Ameer Saud Magsi confirmed the casualties in the operation and due to his poor strategy policemen sacrificed their lives.
