Birth and Registration Rules 2025 implemented in Punjab 

After the implementation of Birth and Registration Rules 2025, fees have been waved off on birth and death certificates across Punjab, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel. 

On the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, computerized birth and death certificates will also be issued free of cost. Now citizens can obtain their death and birth certificates in Union Council and Municipal Committee free of cost for maximum 7 years. 

Moreover, condition of court order on late registration has also been ended. 

CM Maryam Nawaz said identity was the fundamental right of every citizen therefore the government wanted to create convenience for citizens. 

Maryam Nawaz said death and birth digital certificate was necessary to avail services. She said people of Punjab can ensure the protection of their civil rights by registering birth and death on time.
