Dacoit killed during police encounter in Shikarpur

One dacoit was gunned down during a heavy exchange of firing with police in Shikharpur, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
Soon after taking notice of the police, dacoits started firing on them indiscriminately.
According to the details, some dacoits were waiting beside a road to commit robbery and snatching when a police party led by SHO Sultan Kot reached the spot and thwarted the attempt at robbery.
The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Sultan Kot Police Station in Shikarpur.
During the heavy exchange of firing, one dacoit was killed while his other colleagues escaped from the scene, taking advantage of the darkness.
Police constituted different teams to apprehend the culprits.
