Govt notifies transfers, postings of federal officers

The federal government on Monday notified a series of appointments, transfers and postings across multiple ministries and departments following approval from the prime minister.

According to official notifications, Amir Rana has been appointed a member of the Pakistan Digital Authority under the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication. His appointment has been made on a five-year contract basis with immediate effect.

In another key posting, Deputy Secretary of the Power Division Rani Hafsa Kanwal has been transferred and her services have been handed over to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.

Separately, Deputy General Manager of Pakistan International Airlines in Karachi, Tariq Ahmed Ghauri, has been deputed to the Federal Ministry of Health as Director (Non-Medical) for a period of three years.

The government has also extended the deputation of Assistant Professor Ghazala Shaheen Jamali, currently serving in the Federal Directorate of Education, for two more years.

In addition, Muhammad Imran Khan Mohmand has been assigned additional charge as Director General of the National Agri-Trade and Food Safety Authority for three months.

Wajahat Mansoor has been appointed director general in the Ministry of IT on a three-year contract under MP-2 scale.

Other administrative changes include the deputation of Agriculture Officer Shumaila Shafqat from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to the Ministry of Law and Justice for three years.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Administrative Service officer Waqar Hussain has been granted 360 days of study leave abroad, while another officer, Kamran Khan, has been granted one-year leave without pay starting April 20, 2026. He has been directed to report back to the Establishment Division after completion of his leave period.

The Establishment Division confirmed that all notifications have been officially issued and will take effect according to the prescribed terms and conditions.
