Counter-Terrorism Department DIG Omar Shahid Hamid said on Wednesday that the CTD Karachi has arrested five alleged target killers of MQM-London in raids conducted in different areas of the city, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The CTD DIG said the arrested target killers were also involved in several other serious crimes including the killing of police personnel.

The alleged target killers are close aides of Ajmal Pahari and Kashif David and also got training from the Indian spy agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).

The accused terrorists murdered policeman Muhammad Ali in 1997 in Orangi, gunned down Sunni Tehreek leader Amjad Pervaiz in 2005 and in 1997 killed Faisal aka Paratha in Orangi Town.

The FIRs have been registered against the arrested accused in Jamshed police Station, Pak Colony and Momin Abad. These target killers are: Salman aka Dhobi, Akhter, Umair and Shahzad.

Earlier, Karachi Counter Terrorism Department DIG Omar Shahid Hamid said four terrorists of RAW-backed Sindh Revolution Army have been arrested in connection with a series of attacks on Sindh Rangers.

These four “terrorists” of Sindh Revolution Army were involved in numerous attacks on Sindh Rangers in June and July this year.

Omar Shahid Hayat was addressing a press conference in Karachi on Wednesday.

The DIG said police have recovered hand grenades and pistols from the four accused members Sarang aka Suhail Mirani, Bashir Ahmed, Anis Ahmed and Khwand Baksh aka Slaim Sindhi of Sindh Revolution Army. “These accused persons were involved in a hand grenade attack on Rangers mobile on June 10 at Kamran Chaurangi, and second attack on the same day at Chawki Manzil Malir in which two bystanders were injured.

On June 19, these accused attacked Rangers mobile with a hand grenade located outside the Ehsaas Program centre in Liaquatabad in which one person lost his life,” Omar Shahid Hamid said.

It has been reported that DIG CTD said Sindh Revolution Army is being provided funds from RAW and its head is Ayed Asghar Ali aka Sajjad Shah.
