Authorities did not register a First Information Report (FIR) and also did not release the post-mortem report of a female student whose dead body was recovered from the girls’ hostel of Chandka Medical College, Larkana, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The body of Dr Nosheen Kazmi has been handed over to the family and her funeral prayers will be offered today at Pir Murad graveyard in Dadu.

So far, no one from the medical college administration has attended the funeral prayers of their student. However, local notables have been participating to mourn the death of Kazmi.

Sindh Taraqi Pasand Party and civil society representatives lodged their protest against the alleged suicide of Dr Nosheen Kazmi in the hostel of the medical college.

The protesters held the college administration responsible for her death.

Also, father of the deceased girl Hidayatullah Kazmi refused to talk to the media on Thursday. The deceased girl was the fourth year student at the medical college.

Reportedly, the dead body of a student was recovered from the Room No 4 of the girls’ hostel of the Chandka Medical College Wednesday, however, the college administration sealed the hostel and stopped the media from covering the incident.  The college administration also stopped the movement of the students in the premises.

The VC, Registrar and doctors rushed to the room of the girls hostel number 2 of the medical college after the incident was reported to them. It is unclear if the student had committed suicide or the incident has been a murder.

Pertinent to mention here that two years ago, the body of another girl student named Nimarta Kumari was recovered from the girls’ hostel of the Dental Medical College. She was the final year student.
